Steeple Leaze Farm

Traditional, family-friendly turn-up & pitch-up camping on a working farm

Steeple Leaze is a large, spacious campsite set across fields on a working beef farm, close to the villages of Corfe Castle and Church Knowle.

There’s a lovely, family-oriented atmosphere here and the children will love exploring the adjacent woodland with its swing. Simply pitch up and the owners will come to collect payment.

You can buy firewood and kindling here, so you can have a proper campfire or BBQ for that traditional camping-under-the-stars experience.

Steeple Leaze is within walking distance to Jurassic Coast gem Kimmeridge Bay from the site, and access miles of great countryside walks, including the very special ‘ghost’ village, Tyneham. Some coastal walks may be subject to closure due to being on MoD land.

Try the New Inn in Church Knowle for some good pub grub, and Clavell’s Restaurant or The Boat at the Bay in Kimmeridge for a light lunch, cake or supper.

Like Tom’s Field and California Meadows, Steeple Leaze Farm is also popular with Purbeck locals who want a close-to-home camping experience, as well as returning visitors from afar who come back year after year.

The site accommodates tents and campervans but can’t accommodate caravans.

Facilities at this campsite include:

  • Both eco and flushing loos
  • Hot showers
  • Hot food snack shack
  • Rubbish disposal & wash-up area
  • Drinking water from standpipes
