Swanage Lifeboat Week AUGUST 2024

🗓️ Friday 9th – Sunday 18th August 2024 (TBC)

Join the team at Swanage Lifeboat Station for ten days of RNLI festival fun both in the bay and on land at Prince Albert Gardens.

It’s a packed programme of activities and entertainment, from the much-loved build-a-boat competition to the popular lifeboat quiz.

Runners can take part in The Lighthouse Loop – a 5k coastal circular run; this year part of the Purbeck Trail Series.

And there’ll be plenty of live music and great food & drink to chill out – or have a boogie – to, all overlooking the beautiful Swanage Bay.

Dates for 2024 to be finalised.

Raft Race

The annual build-a-boat competition and race in the bay is always a popular event and draws crowds from across town to cheer the participants on.

Boats are made from materials provided, with raft crew being allowed to bring hand tools to help build the best boat – all within four hours.

Anyone can enter – and there’s a cash prize for the first raft to successfully row to the finish line.

Duck Race

Sponsor a rubber duck and watch as it races through town toward the shore…
