Taxi is a great way to get about Swanage and Purbeck if you're here without your car or want to leave it behind for the evening.

If you're arriving to the area by train on the South Western railway service, it's a good idea to ring ahead to book your taxi, however you may find you can pick one up at the small taxi rank at the station.
Some of the above local taxi companies can arrange transport for you and your luggage to or from the airport for your holiday away.
Some will happily travel to nearby Bournemouth Airport and Southampton Airport, and others may offer a special service to London airports such as Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted.

Water taxi
If you're arriving to Swanage by sea for the day you can moor your boat in Swanage Bay and catch the water taxi to and from the shore for a convenient way to visit Swanage's restaurants, beach and bars.
