Chilled Red is a primarily seafood restaurant in Swanage – a hidden gem tucked away in a small courtyard behind the town’s main high streets.

It’s well-known for its high-quality European and British dishes in an intimate setting, and for its friendly, attentive staff.

The restaurant, which serves a regularly-changing set menu for lunch and dinner, also has vegetarian-friendly and gluten-free options, as well as further options such as steak, lamb and duck.

Example dishes include halibut with a lobster sauce, mixed seafood jalfrezi, venison steak, and fresh lobster caught from Swanage Bay.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings from 6pm.

You’ll find Chilled Red down a pedestrianised lane in the centre of Swanage.

It’s on Commercial Road, which is home to a number of other local businesses, such as Chococo, Swanage Bay Fish and Java Independent Coffee House.

Access is via a short alleyway from either High Street (near the library) or via Institute Road by McColls’s newsagents.
