Swanage’s Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) is open daily (Monday- Sunday) between 8am and 8pm, including bank holidays.
The team here can help patients with the following:
- Limb injuries, such as sprains and fractures
- Eye injuries and infections
- Foreign bodies (for example splinters and fish hooks)
- Head injuries
- Wounds (including suturing if required)
- Insect bites and stings
- Emergency contraception
If, after phoning 111, in-person, face-to-face support is required, a member of hospital staff may book you an appointment at the minor injuries unit here – and kindly ask that you do not turn up unannounced.
