Budgens is one of two main supermarkets in Swanage – Budgens is located centrally in town, and Co-Op is a stone’s throw away opposite Swanage Railway station.
In store you’ll find the usual range of fresh food, store cupboard essentials and household items, as well as some local produce, such as eggs and meats.

Budgens is open seventeenths days a week, as follows:
Monday – Saturday 7am – 10pm
Sunday 11am – 5pm
If you’re looking for a supermarket that opens slightly earlier on a Sunday, try Co-Op, whose Sunday hours are 10am – 4pm.
For smaller shops with extended opening times try Court Hill Stores, the Texaco petrol station on Victoria Avenue, Spar at 141 High Street (near the Black Swan Inn) and the numerous newsagents in town, which may stock essential items. You’ll also find a good range of independent food retailers in town, including butchers, fishmongers and health food shops.

If you’re just popping in for a few things you may find short-stay parking opposite the store on Station Road itself.
However, if you’re doing a bigger shop or have other errands to run, there’s a car park just behind Swanage at Mermond Place (postcode: BH19 1PW), which is handy if you have young children as there’s a playground right by the car park, so you can combine a shopping trip with a quick play or stroll on the beach.
