East Creech Farm is a hidden rural gem in Purbeck – a working farm that runs a campsite as well as offering camping pods and two holiday cottages.
It’s a real farm experience here at this 3 AA Pennant awarded campsite, with resident animals such as ponies, donkeys, pigs and cows on the land, which will delight both adults and children. There’s also plenty of resident ducks and geese in the village pond to welcome you on arrival, which is situated right next to the excellent seasonal tea room, The Cake House.
East Creech is a small hamlet located on a back road between Wareham and Corfe Castle, making it not only a pretty, countryside base for visiting nearby Swanage, but also an ideal location for walkers and cyclists to explore the Purbeck Ridgeway and other local landmarks such as Lulworth Cove, Tyneham and Kimmeridge.
You’ll also be treated to vast views across the Isle of Purbeck toward Poole Harbour – there’s a lovely, non-strenuous walk from the campsite up to Creech Barrow, where you’ll have a 360 degree view of this special landscape – if you’re travelling via the A351 from Wareham, look out for this conical hill protruding proudly from the skyline which can be seen for miles around.
The nearest pubs, shops and restaurants are in Wareham or Corfe.
There are 80 grass pitches at East Creech Farm Campsite; some with electric hook-ups. Further facilities include a loo and (token-operated) shower block, wash up and laundry area, and chemical disposal point.
There are also two children’s play areas, woodland walks, and three fishing ponds.
The camping season at East Creech runs from 1 April – 31 October.

Camping pods
There are also camping pods available at East Creech Farm & Campsite. These modern timber cabins provide a touch of rustic luxury to your camping experience and mean you don’t have to bring or erect a tent, but can still have a holiday under the stars.
You’ll be cosy and warm inside these fully-insulated pods, with their quaint stable doors, which are located in a pretty orchard, slightly separate to the main campsite. Simply bring your own bedding and your bed will be ready for the night.
The pods are equipped with electricity, providing you with plug sockets, USB ports and an outside light. There’s also a kettle with tea and coffee provided, as well as outdoor seating.
Camping pods are available from the beginning of April to the end of October and have a minimum two-night stay policy.

Holiday cottages at East Creech Farm
There are two self-catering cottages by the campsite, both sympathetically converted from 18th Century buildings.
Both the cottage and the farmhouse are pet-free and come with the additional benefit of the use of an indoor heated swimming pool, subject to opening times.
Whilst a regular booking slot is one week, there is the option to do a shorter break outside of peak season.
Both properties are fully equipped, come with bedding and towels and have TVs/DVD players.
East Creech Cottage
This charming barn conversion boasts original features and benefits from a ground-floor bathroom.
The cottage has fully a equipped kitchen, TV & DVD player in the lounge and free wifi for that home-from home experience.
Rent the cottage for the per week, or book a shorter stay in low season.

East Creech Farmhouse
The traditional farmhouse overlooks East Creech’s picturesque village pond and has everything you need for a peaceful rural getaway.
The farmhouse its fully-equipped, with bed linen and towels provided.
Book for the week in peak season or ask about shorter stays during off-peak season.
